Corang Estate
Corang Estate is a winery founded on a deep love of nature, the outdoors, and exceptional wine. Located in the Southern Tablelands of NSW, the estate sits at 600-700 meters above sea level on 120 acres, bordered by the peaceful Corang River. This tranquil setting combines fresh air, natural beauty, and stunning mountain views.
The estate is home to a variety of wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, platypus, black cockatoos, and soaring eagles. Together, the mountain scenery, bushland, and wildlife inspire the Corang Estate brand.
Purchased in 2002 as a retreat, the property’s potential as a vineyard gradually took shape. Its stony soils and ideal climate made it a perfect fit for viticulture. In time, Jill and Michael Bynon, the founders, built a cottage and began spending weekends away from their busy corporate lives. Then, in 2016, they planted the vineyard and turned their dream into a reality by launching their regional wine selection.
Today, Corang Estate is a thriving winery that produces award-winning wines. The estate’s wines highlight the cool-climate styles of the Southern Tablelands, with fruit sourced from both the estate and other top vineyards in the region. Corang Estate collaborates closely with winemakers and growers in the Hilltops, Tumbarumba, and Canberra regions, which are gaining recognition for producing some of Australia’s finest wines.
The winemaking process takes place in Murrumbateman, the heart of the Canberra wine region. Corang Estate is proud to be a member of both the Hilltops Vineyards Association and the New South Wales Wine Industry Association.
